This is made if the user runs `cmake -DCMAKE_EXPORT_COMPILE_COMMANDS=ON`

Make the same methods available for group processing as well as individual workspace processing.

From git 1.7.2, there's a new way of dealing with line endings.
This setting of the attribute should mean that developers get their
native line endings locally, but that we only get LF endings in the repo.
Requiring everyone to set a config property to enforce this should
no longer be necessary.

These should go in .git/info/exclude instead.

This is needed to enable peak data to be saved in a MantidPlot project as required in ticket re #4073

Integer data is stored using the NX_INT32 info type.

These should go in an individual's .git/info/exclude file.
Also removed some redundant entries from deeper in the directory
tree because they were already included in higher-level
.gitignore files (which act recursively).

Wander, how can I ignore committing gitignore.
