Capability 1233: [QUICKNXS] Add the capability to reduce two samples from the same run
(EWM1233)
SUMMARY
BL-4A often measures two samples at the same time, with the signal for each sample covering two distinct area of the detector. IS would like to be able to extend the data reduction to be able to deal with this mode. Quicknxs would have to be changed to recognize two ROIs on the detector, and plot both reduced curves. Users would have to be able to change the peak selection.
Example: IPTS-31954 contains several runs showing two peaks in the Y-X plot of QuickNXS. See for instance this snapshot showing run 42536
REQUIREMENTS
- New Data tabs will be included in the tabwidget. Each tab will zero in a particular peak. See a mockup of two Data tabs, one for each peak. Notice that each tab can have a different number of runs. In the mockup example, one tab has two runs and the other tab has one run.
- When User presses "Reduce", reduction will proceed separately for each Data tab.
DESIGN
- We will include a fixed number of Data tabs in the ui file. Currently there's only one, but we will add more to have a stash of potential tabs, we show three in this example . When QuickNXS starts, only one Data tab will be visible. Then if when User presses the "+" button , a new will become visible and populated with a copy of the contents of the first Data tab.
- When Users presses Reduce, field File Naming of the Reduction Options dialog will include new field {peakindex} implemented as peak1, peak2, ... with as many peak indexes as Data tabs are opened at the moment of the reduction.
