Versa Pac Model
Description
A computational model for the 55 gallon Versa-Pac transportation package as conceptualized by Elzohary and modified in ORNL/TM-2024/3277.
Executive Summary
This model was developed for transporting HALEU fuel and analyzing nuclear criticality by using validated models from the ICSBEP to assess the similarity index of the developed model. The Versa-Pac 55 (VP-55) has a capacity of 55 gallons and approved for transporting HALEU fuel pebbles by the NRC.
Details
The initial model generated by Elzohery is described in ORNL TM report ORNL/TM-2024/3536. Results obtained using the models in this repository are summarized in ORNL TM report ORNL/TM-2024/3277. Please provide the following reference when using the models:
