Move to C++17?
I was speaking with Damien Lebrun-Grandie (@qdi) as he was taking a look at this code and he suggested that we might want to move from C++14 to C++17. That would let us replace boost::filesystem with std::filesystem and in a year or so Kokkos is going to require C++17 anyways. Given our target machines, presumably we won't have to worry about supporting older compiler versions there.
@4pf, any reason to not start making the switch?
(Damien also pointed out that if we remove the boost::filesystem dependency then we'd also be able to move to a header-only version of Boost.)
